Am I eligible to submit an entry?
You are eligible if you are a college-level junior, senior or recent graduate (within three years) in college. The Award of Excellence winner will be asked to provide proof of their year in school or graduation date.
How should my entry be formatted?
You will need to provide one image of the poster that is 4MB or smaller. JPG at 300 dpi is preferred. PDF is also acceptable.
How are winners determined?
All entries are reviewed by the judging panel. Award winners must be judged favorably (a 7 out of 10) by the entire panel to receive the Award of Merit. Award of Honor must score highly (a 9 out of 10) by all judges. The Award of Excellence is chosen by the panel from among submissions rated 9 or greater.
How are entries judged?
Judges are independent and their decision is final.
Criteria includes:
- Artistry: ability to stand out, innovation and aesthetic
- Message: clarity, creativity and call to action
- Use of composition, type, color, photography or illustration
My poster was a group project. How do I represent my teammates?
In the entry form you are able to include names for a variety of roles in the team. Please take care to include all who participated and spell their names correctly. If the entry receives Award of Excellence, the primary entrant will receive $500, an awards certificate and a portfolio book. Other certificates and portfolio books will be available for purchase.
Will there be a deadline extension?
There will not be a deadline extension. You may request a special extension by emailing award@adsoka.com.
Can I link to Adding Creative Value from my Web site?
Yes, anyone is free to link to this Web site.
How should I list the award on my resume?
Listing the award in your resume should read, "Adding Creative Value Award of (Level), (Year).” Downloadable award recognition graphics for use in print and for Web will also be made available to award winners.
My poster looks best in person. Can I mail my entry?
At this time we are only accepting student award entries electronically.
How do I pay for my entry?
